Zoe-perry

Perry was born July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as as seen through flashback) Her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first TV roles. In fear of stress, her parents didn't want to see her pursue acting before turning 18. Perry claimed she felt timid to perform in high school but began doing shows at Northwestern University as a way to connect with people following her transfer to the university from Boston University. Perry moved to New York, where she was offered small roles in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Homesickness then caused Perry home to California which was where theatre jobs were available. The Other Place was performed by her mother and her in 2013 on Broadway in 2013. The father of her Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie with her in the year 2015. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's crime thriller The Family. In 2017, Perry played a supporting role in the ABC political drama Scandal in which her father was the main character. Also, she was cast on her role on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. She was cast in the role in spite of her strong familial connection to the character.
